Consultation on Incentives and Subsidies

Incentives to Promote Investments

The European Union, the German Federal Government as well as the Free State of Saxony support investments with such financial subsidies as, for example, investment grants and investment allowances, equity capital assistance programs, loans at reduced interest rates, company participations, bonds, and guarantees.

Most companies of the manufacturing industry as well as specific industry-related services such as, for example, data processing, R&D, technical design are all eligible for support.

Incentive rates depend on the respective company size and may reach a maximum of 50 %.
As the economic development agency of the Meißen Region, we’d be happy to assist and advise you in planning your investment, whether it be for the construction of a new building or the expansion of your existing facilities as well as any other company-related expenses.

Creating and Safeguarding Jobs

If an unemployed person is hired, the Labor Administration will even assume the cost of any general and/or continued education measure that might be required. This includes employees in production as well as management and engineering staff.

Should continued education and training become necessary for the employees of a company in order to safeguard the company’s future, then this adjustment qualification may also be subsidized. This helps safeguard existing jobs.
